(Ēk din didār bāṛitē – One day at Grandma’s house) 

আমি দিদার বাড়িতে যাই। 
(Āmi didār bāṛitē jāi – I go to Grandma’s house.)

আমি দরজা খুলে ভিতরে ঢুকি। 
(Āmi darajā khulē bhitārē ḍhuki – I open the door and go inside.)

দিদা চেয়ার-এ বসে আছেন। 
(Didā cēyār-ē basē āchhēn – Grandma is sitting on a chair.)

টেবিল-এর ওপর গ্লাস আছে। 
(Ṭēbil-ēr ōpōr glās āchē – There is a glass on the table.) 

আমি ঘরে যাই। 
(Āmi gharē jāi – I go to the room.) 

তারপর আমি খাট-এ শুই। 
(Tārapar āmi khāṭ-ē śui – Then I lie on the bed.) 

আমার মাথার নিচে বালিশ আছে। 
(Āmār māthār nichē bāliś āchē – There is a pillow under my head.) 

ঘরে আলো আছে। 
(Gharē ālō āchē – There is light in the room.) 

জানালা খোলা আছে। 
(Jānālā khōlā āchē – The window is open.) 

পাখা ঘুরছে। 
(Pākhā ghurchē – The fan is spinning.) 

আমি আয়না-র দিকে দেখি। 
(Āmi āẏanā-r dikē dēkhi – I look at the mirror.) 

আমি কম্বল নিই। 
(Āmi kambal ni – I take the blanket.) 

তারপরে আমি ঘুমাই। 
(Tārparē āmi ghumāi – Then I sleep.) 

ঘুম শেষে, আমি উঠি। 
(Ghum śēṣē, āmi uṭhi – After sleeping, I get up.) 

ঘড়ি-তে দেখি এখন দুপুর। 
(Ghaṛi-tē dēkhi ēkhon dupur – I see on the clock, it is afternoon.) 

এদিকে দিদা রান্না করেন। 
(Ēdikē didā rānnā karēn – Meanwhile, grandma cooks.) 

আমরা আলমারি খুলি। 
(Āmrā ālmāri khuli – We open the cupboard.) 

আমি থালা, চামচ, আর ছুরি নিই। 
(Āmi thālā, cāmac, ār churī ni – I take a plate, spoon, and knife.) 

ফ্রিজ-এ খাবার আছে। 
(Phrij-ē khābār āchē – There is food in the fridge.) 

তারপরে আমরা টেলিভিশন দেখি। 
(Tārparē āmrā ṭēlibhiśan dēkhi – After that, we watch television.) 

এরপর আমি বালতি-তে জল নিই। 
(Ērapar āmi bālṭi-tē jal ni – Then I take water in a bucket.) 

আমি খুশি। 
(Āmi khuśi – I am happy.)
